Beauden Barrett has played golf with Kiwi US Open winner Michael Campbell and some mates ahead of the All Blacks star’s wedding to Hannah Laity wedding this weekend.
Barrett and friends got out the golf clubs out at the exclusive Kauri Cliffs golf course in the Bay of Islands, taking photos of the fun after Laity had posted photos on social media of her catching up with friends at one of the pre-wedding occasions.
Barrett, Campbell, Wellington property developer Kurt Gibbons, and billionaire Graeme Hart’s son Harry Hart clearly enjoyed their afternoon on the course with ocean views, with Campbell, who won the US Open major in 2005, holding the trophy after the competition was over.
The group were helicoptered to the course for the afternoon and later on Gibbons and Hart finished their day finished on Hart’s super yacht.
Laity, 24, had her hens’ do last weekend on Waiheke Island, a possible wedding venue for the couple.
On Thursday Laity posted two photos on Instagram of her and friends having a glass of bubbles.
“The festivities continue,” she wrote.
“Last night my amazing godfather hosted some pre wedding drinks, it was a great opportunity for my parents to catch up with some of their friends who we weren’t able to invite to the wedding and for guests to mingle before the big day.”
The couple got engaged in Fiji a year ago and returned there for New Year’s celebrations during Barrett’s off season.
Laity is a chartered accountant and has a large social media following, which she uses for influencing and boosting products to the public profile.
Meanwhile probable wedding guests Israel and Daisy Dagg arrived in Auckland on Thursday afternoon.
