Alabama women’s golf in 11th at Auburn tournament – News – Northwest Florida Daily News

OPELIKA – The No. 18-ranked University of Alabama women’s golf team shot 13-over par 301 and is in 11th place out of 14 teams going into Sunday’s second round at the Evans Derby Experience hosted by Auburn.

Jiwon Jeon, ranked No. 6 in the nation according to the Golfweek/Sagarin individual rankings, led Alabama on Saturday as she collected six birdies to go along with a pair of bogeys and double bogeys to finish the day with an even par 72 and is among a tie for 10th. Kenzie Wright shot 1-over par 73 on the par-72, 6,250-yard Saugahatchee Country Club and is among a tie for 21st. Angelica Moresco shot 3-over 75 and is in a tie for 42nd place. Mary Mac Trammell is in 81st after shooting an 81. Anna Reid is in a tie for 83rd with an 82.

Arkansas, the nation’s eighth-ranked team, is the clubhouse leader after carding a 3-under par 285 on Saturday and was the only squad in the entire field to shoot below par.
