All well composed golf swings end with a square clubface at the point of impact. Very few casual golfers are able to consistently square up their clubface at impact, but such a technique can be learned.
George Gankas golf lessons have captivated the hearts and minds of golfers from around the globe. Through the GG Swing Method, amateur players have credited George Gankas golf strategies with drastically improving their overall game.
Like many of the modern golf instructors that have been influential on the way modern players train, Gankas seeks to amplify the natural abilities of his players while muting any flawed action they may have in the golf swing. This has assisted several of George’s students as they transition from junior to pro.
While assuming their routine grip with a driver at address, players should open their right hand and rest it along the shaft. When done correctly, the palm should face the target with their fingers pointing downward. You’ll immediately notice that the position of your palm has now replicated the angle of your clubface.
As you bring your golf club backward, allow your palm to remain in that position, flush against the shaft of the club. When you allow your clubface to maneuver naturally, your palm will rotate underneath the shaft while swinging back to the top. While transitioning into the downswing sequence, your palm will slowly return back once reaching the impact position, which will mirror the positioning taken during initial address.
Your right hand will replicate the positioning of the clubface, so if you’re able to square the positioning of your palm, the position of your clubface will also become square.
Being able to strike the ball with a consistently square clubface will drastically reduce the amount of slices and hooks that a player commits. Golfers can also expect to produce a faster swing, resulting in deeper drives. Your square clubface will assist in achieving straighter, longer shots that will ultimately improve your overall score and enjoyment of the game.
